ARCADIA INVITATIONAL
The 42nd annual Arcadia Invitational lived up to it’s billing as the best outdoor high school meet in the nation. Several nation-leading marks were set and it was an honor to have some Titans in the field.
Tyrell Yardley was great again. He finished 5th in the 100m dash (10.98, 10.72 in the trials) and 2nd in the 200m dash (21.57, a school record and one of the top 10 times ever run by a Utah athlete). Hannah Williams shattered the school record in the mile run with her 5:10.92. That converts to a 5:09.41 1600m run. She finished 2nd in her Open heat. Aaron Hill finished 9th in the discus with his toss of 149'09", just missing his own school record. Austin Costley and Jake Rossmango ran very well in the mile run, especially considering that they have been battling injuries for so long. Austin ran 4:34.32, equal to a 4:33.54 1600m run, while Jake ran 4:39.90, equal to a 4:38.50. Both times were under the existing school record.
It was a great meet and hopefully we will be able to get more Titans in the field next year.

FREMONT DUAL
Syracuse will host Fremont Wednesday at 3:00. This will be a good chance for many of you to try some new events or to try to move up in the Region One Rankings. You will be excused at 2:00. Hurry out to help set up and get ready to compete.

TAYLORSVILLE/LOGAN INVITATIONAL
We have not made a final decision as to which meet we will go to. There are advantages to both. Either way, we will leave at 6:30 am.

Chosen as the Athlete of the Week was Austin Costley.

REGION RANKINGS
To see how you rank in Region One, go to: www.regiononetrack.blogspot.com. They are somewhat incomplete, but will give you a rough idea of how you rank. At the end of the regular season, the top 28 in each event qualify for the Region One Championships.
