GRIZZLY INVITATIONAL
The Titans traveled to Logan and turned in some impressive performances at the Grizzly Invitational. While the numbers competing were down because of Prom, the outstanding efforts were ample.
Hannah Williams had a great meet winning the 1600m run in 5:14.97, a state qualifying mark. She came back to run 11:54.39 to place 3rd in the 3200m run for a school record. Lindsey McFarland ran 27.91 for a school record in the 200m dash. She also ran 1:00.64 to place 6th in the 400m dash. Jessica Pauni won the shot put with a school record toss of 37'04. She also placed 6th in the discus throwing 100'07. Ashley Hunzeker set another school record in the javelin throwing the spear 94'02". Sasha Russell, Kelsey Westbroek, Lindsey McFarland and Mayra Franco ran 51.78 to place 5th in the 4x100m relay, good enough for a school record. They also placed 2nd in the 4x200m relay in 1:52.87. Because of some officiating mess-ups, they actually ran about 825 meters and may have had a chance to win if things would have been set up correctly.
For the boys, Tyrell Yardley had another great meet. He set two school records in winning the 100m dash (10.81) and 400m dash (48.29). Chris Jackson placed 3rd in the 300m hurdles with a school record time of 41.26 and 6th in the 110m hurdles in 16.08. Aaron Hill threw 147'07 to place 3rd in the discus. Kuyler Thompson’s 146'08 in the javelin placed 6th. Spencer Cook cleared 10'06" to tie the school record and place 4th in the pole vault.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Chosen as the Athletes of the Week were Ashley Hunzeker, Kuyler Thompson and Alex Garrett.. All three share some common traits: They work hard, study their events, and do their best to reach their potential.

SYRACUSE/CLFD/WEBER TRI-MEET
The meet is at Weber High and will start at 3:00. You will be excused from class at 1:15 and the bus will leave at 1:30.

JUNIOR HIGH MEET
We will be hosting a junior high meet Thursday. Everyone will be asked to help officiate. We will have a quick workout during/after the meet.

DAVIS INVITATIONAL
This meet runs all day Saturday at Davis High. We will not take a bus to this meet. A list of all who get accepted into the meet will be posted Thursday.

REGION RANKINGS
To see how you rank in Region One, go to: www.regiononetrack.blogspot.com. They are still incomplete, but will give you a rough idea of how you rank. At the end of the regular season, the top 24 in each event qualify for the Region One Championships.
